Project developed for  The Cultural Rucksack. Art & ecology workshop tour in Northern Norway 2009/10

What we appear to be seeing is not always what we see in reality and we often overlook the familiar and unseen. Appearances can be deceptive and our view easily becomes thwarted.  When we see and perceive the world from new perspectives, we can expand our reality and understanding of the world. What is for instance the similarity between the lungs and trees? Is our planet a rotating seed in our huge solar system?

This workshop is about seeing the world in a grain of sand, experiencing the thrills of discovering that the micro and macro perspectives have a lot in common and that Leonardo da Vinci was an artist, a scientist and a philosopher way ahead of his time. It is about discovering magic moments and how we can catch a glimpse of nature’s infinite and amazing artwork.
